Banjo Lessons Los Angeles
Adam
Adam hails from the Pelican State. While the coincidence is fun, rest assured, we hired him for his ridiculous musical chops and easy laid-back teaching style. A multi-instrumentalist, Adam teaches guitar, banjo and dobro, and is equally adept with rock, country, jazz and bluegrass styles.
Adam graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s Degree in music, also earning a degree in guitar performance from Hollywood’s Musicians Institute.
As a performer, Adam has toured with Rose’s Pawn Shop, and Jason Charles Miller, recently opening for country stars, Alan Jackson, Gary Allan and Jerrod Niemann. Adam makes his national TV debut this spring, performing with Ben Dukes on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson
Adam’s favorite guitarists include Brent Mason, Tony Rice, Brian May, and John Scofield, an eclectic mix, befitting his diversity of stylistic interests. Adam’s banjo favorites include Scott Vestal, J.D. Crowe, Earl Scruggs, Bela Fleck, and Alison Brown; his dobro inspirations are Rob Ickes and Jerry Douglas.
Adam is endorsed by Deering banjos and Gretsch guitars.
Adam teaches: Guitar Lessons, Banjo Lessons and Dobro Lessons
*Adam was a national merit scholar, and attributes this achievement to his diet of tomato and mayo sandwiches.
