Douglas
In his youth in southeast Nebraska, Douglas excelled in classical piano studies, continuing at the University of Kansas and the University of Utah receiving his degree in Music Theater. He also acted in musicals and played trombone in the University Jazz Band which played at the Montreaux Jazz Festival. This spurred his quest for travel and he returned to Europe years later directing and singing with The Singing Waiters who toured for several seasons doing impromptu improvised performances for corporate events and in 5-star hotel dining rooms. Douglas has also performed on cruise ships and has coached singers for shows onboard Holland America Cruise Lines. He continues music directing, teaching, and working as an accompanist for shows and school choirs in the Los Angeles area. Douglas enjoys all styles of music and encouraging students to bring out the absolute best in their performance.
