
Oliver
Oliver is a singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist with a passion for musical storytelling. Originally from London, U.K., he is now based in Los Angeles, California. As a teacher, he has extensive experience in pop, singer-songwriter, classical, and musical theatre styles. He helps students develop their unique voices while building strong technical foundations and musical confidence.
A graduate of California Institute of the Arts, Oliver releases music under the name Muco, which has amassed millions of streams online. He sings in multiple languages, including French, Old and Middle English, and Swahili, and he plays a diverse range of instruments including piano, autoharp, viola, lyre, and koto.
Oliver’s teaching approach is intuitive, fun, and tailored to each student’s creative curiosity. Whether working with beginners or seasoned musicians he creates a supportive environment for technical development and artistic exploration. His lessons often include songwriting, music theory, ear training, and the creative application of the voice – focusing on live performance, lyric writing, tone production, and singing with piano accompaniment. He also teaches music production and technology, covering recording techniques, mic placement, vocal effects, and DAW software.
